RECENT NEWS & REMANDS

DEFERRED REMOVAL .  USCIS has dismissed 700% more removal cases in September [2010] at the Houston office than in previous months.  This reflects a new policy to "defer" removal cases for non-criminal immigrants who do not have legal status.  In the case of our office, the Notice received stated that it is "unlikely" the government would institute removal proceedings in the future.  No legal status was afforded, either - official limbo.  [See News Story]
